THIS MONTH: We are featuring two (2) amazing documentary films: Steadfast, a film from 2012 along with The Butterfly People, produced in late 2023. Both films were directed by Greg Fish a Joplin native. Steadfast - On May 22, 2011 one of the most destructive tornadoes in United States history ripped through the heart of the city of Joplin, Missouri. Several residents share their experiences of that fateful day and the days to follow. Through a surge of volunteers and a determined spirit, Joplin has rebuilt in an unprecedented way to now exhibit a higher population and more businesses than before the storm.
